Weights and Measures Our goal is to promote equity in the marketplace. We inspect retail establishments and check retail mechanical devices in order to protect the consumer. We also work with business owners to improve the accuracy of their devices to prevent economic loss to themselves and the consumer. The weights and measures division is responsible for any commercial devices or transactions where commodities are sold by either weight, volume, count, or measure. If you have any questions or complaints concerning incorrect weights, volume or pricing errors, please contact our office at 330-627-2250. For more info on Weights and measures, see the tour at: And further info at: Ohio Division of Weights & Measures The Division of Weights & Measures works with county and city weights and measures programs to test devices ranging from fuel meters and retail store scanners to vehicle and livestock scales for consistent measuring standards.
